Steve earned his MSFS from the Institute of Business and Finance in La Jolla, California. With a Master’s Degree in Financial Services (MSFS), Steve uses his knowledge and experience to identify alternatives to conventional asset allocation strategies.
Certified Social Security Claiming Strategies® (CSSCS)-2014
Steve was one of the first advisors in the country to obtain this designation after realizing what a vital part the Social Security benefit can play in a properly structured retirement plan.

Steve has lived in Durham since 2002 and married Anne in May of 2015. He enjoys racquetball and is always looking for a good game, especially when he is on the road. He has also coached youth baseball, basketball, soccer and is an avid hockey fan. Steve is a co-author of The Winning Way with Brian Tracey.

Don Fleming specializes in Real Estate, Credit Restoration Services, and is an Associate Planner with over 28 years of experience in the Financial Services Industry. He currently works with individuals, families, and a select group of entrepreneurial business owners whereby he utilizes prudent financial strategies to help build, protect, and manage their wealth. Throughout his planning process, Don ensures that the implemented strategies are closely aligned with his client’s interests and goals. This process invariably goesbeyond the most common disciplines of investments and insurance.
Prior to partnering with Homeland Estate & Financial Services, Durham NC., Don earned his B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh in 1989. After graduation he worked his way through the ranks of Morgan Stanley in which he became a VP in Equity Sales and Trading. His duties as a manager included research sales coverage in which he provided value added sales trading ideas to institutional and hedge fund clientele. After having a rewarding 16 year career at Morgan Stanley, Don shifted his client focus to the retail side of the industry. He was able to leverage his experience and expertise whereby he became a Certified Registered Investment Advisor at Merrill Lynch and then afterwards with Mass MutualInvestor Services.
Don and his family currently reside in Chapel Hill, NC., in which he is an active basketball coach, a proud New York Giants/Yankees fan, and an avid home theater audiophile. Because of his strong Christian values, Don devotes his additional time to his Church, the YMCA, and the Boys and Girls Club of Durham & Orange Counties.

Marcus is originally from Chesapeake, VA with roots in North Carolina now for over 20 years. He has 6 beautiful children and a wife and is very family oriented. After graduating from East Carolina University in 2012, Marcus officially began his financial career by educating people about the power of establishing and maintaining good credit. After a period of time he found himself in front of his professional mentor at Homeland Estate and Financial Services.
He once pledged to serve our country’s Navy Combat Team as a Seabee. He completed his 8 year obligation with one tour to Afghanistan. He never relented and maintains his commitment to carrying the CAN DO attitude from his service career, along with the motto, “With compassion for others, we build, we fight for peace with freedom” to now assist in planning and achieving a better life for the many Americans who seek this way of life.

Director of Operations
As Director of Office Operations, Anne was instrumental in the 2015 opening of the Consultus office in Durham. Prior to Consultus, she worked for Homeland Estate and Financial Services, where she became a licensed agent in March, 2014.
Anne is from West Seneca, New York. She moved her drapery business of 26 years from West Seneca to Pittsboro, North Carolina in 2012. Her experience as a business owner makes her well suited to manage branch operations, where she works along side her husband, Steve Stack.
Anne is the mother of three, and grandmother to three, adorable little boys. She enjoys traveling the world.
